Channel program and multilingual trade media
Pedaling Forward
A channel program, launched in 2013, connecting Taiwanese bicycle-parts makers directly with independent bike shops overseas. Relaunched in 2026 as a multilingual trade media site.

The problem
Taiwanese parts are good, but reaching an overseas bike shop meant several layers of distributors, each adding margin, while shop feedback never made it back to the factory. In 2026, shops, mechanics and distributors in the aftermarket still have a hard time finding out which Taiwanese factory makes what, and how well.
What we did
- 012013: a members-only channel for vetted shops, ordering directly from Taiwanese makers on Patisco; logistics moved from DHL to FedEx to UPS, with API integration.
- 022026: a self-hosted multilingual media site. Suppliers provide material for articles, brand pages and galleries; AI drafts and translates in the back office, and an editor approves before anything is published.
- 03Transactions still go through Patisco; the media site stays lightweight and focuses on getting seen by the right people.
Where it stands
- During the program: 30+ suppliers and 130+ high-end shops in 35 cities across 10 countries; Point Asia has visited more than 5,000 shops with Taiwanese brands.
- About 9,300 followers on social media, including 200+ shops that already bought through Patisco.
